Cecil Andrew Baxter, age 70, of Leitchfield, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Grayson Manor, in Leitchfield.

He was born on July 5, 1942, in Mercer County, KY, the son of the late Biven Lee and Juanita Long Baxter. He was an electrician, horse trader, trap shooter, hunter, and fisherman, and was a member of the Hilltop Fellowship Church, in McDaniels, KY.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Day Baxter, and one son, Danny Wayne and his wife, Christy, all of Leitchfield; three sisters, Sally Jo Underwood, of North Carolina, and Donna Gail Robinson and Mary Ellen Tarrance, both of Leitchfield; four brothers, Thomas Reed Baxter, of Caneyville, Gary Baxter, of Ohio, and William Lee and James Reed Baxter, both of Leitchfield; several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 3, 2013, at the Dermitt Funeral Home, in Leitchfield, with Bro. Harry Hertel officiating. Burial was in the Duff Cemetery.
