Dorothy R Thomas, age 94, of Louisville, formerly of Leitchfield, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013, in Louisville.

She was born on April 2, 1918 in Trigg County, KY, the daughter of the late Homer Clay and Bessie Mae Skaggs Randolph. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of the Leitchfield First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Donald Thomas, of Louisville, two grandchildren, Brian D Thomas and Yvette Pettit, both of Princeton KY, and three great grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Benjamin Thomas, and three brothers, Homer Louis “Boots” Randolph, Earl Maurice Randolph, and Robert Reginald Randolph.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Fred Whitmore will be officiating. Cremation is chosen with cremains burial in the Bethel Cemetery in Trigg County, KY.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12 - 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
