Oval “Ollie” Dotson, age 80, of Louisville, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Hosparus Center in Louisville.

He was born on March 29, 1932 in Butler County, the son of the late Ernest and Victoria Lacefield Dotson. “Ollie” was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from the Ford Motor Company, in Louisville.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Dotson, of Louisville, one son, Ron Dotson, of Danville, KY, two daughters, Sherry Jaggers and her Steve, and Karen Wright, all of Louisville; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Christeen Geary Dotson, his daughter, Marsha Kannapel, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville, with Bro. Stanley Elmore officiating. Burial was in the Yeaman Cemetery.
