Darren L. Pharris, age 41, of Caneyville, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on August 31, 1971 in Owensboro, the son of Emmett Jr and Reva Jo Pharris. He worked at Ford Motor Company in Louisville for 19 years. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Millwood. Darren was an avid horse-back rider and enjoyed playing the fiddle and guitar.

He is survived by his wife, Tara D. Pharrisand his mother,Reva Jo Pharris, both of Caneyville; his sister Dianna Lawson (Greg), and their children Drew, Andrea and Nick, all of Louisville; his father and mother-in- law, Dale and Judy Bennington, also of Louisville;two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, four nephews and one great-nephew. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Bo and Little Girl.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Pharris, Jr.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home, in Caneyville. Bro. Keith Shephard will be officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Wednesday after 1p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
