John Lenn Wright, age 79, of Leitchfield, went home to the Lord on Saturday, September 22nd, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Faye (Haynes) Wright.

Mr. Wright was born March 17th, 1933 in Ohio County. He and Faye married June 25, 1955. Mr. and Mrs. Wright loved to spend time with their family and friends. Mr. Wright enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and entertaining.

Mr. Wright earned his bachelor’s degree at Saint Louis University and his master’s of business administration at IPFW. In Fort Wayne, IN he worked for Tokheim Corporation and General Electric as an industrial engineer. In 1994, the Wrights moved to Leitchfield, where he worked for MTD Products. They enjoyed great friends and served as active parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield.

Mr. Wright is survived by his sister, Judy Wright, and sister-in-law, Ruth Helen O’Bryan Wright, both of Owensboro,; five children, Mary (Jeff) Hallgren, of Johnson Creek, WI, Kathryn Wrigh,t of Winter Park, CO, Tammy Wright, of Chillicothe, OH, Elizabeth (Roger) Fair, of Albion, IN, and Greg Wright, of Fort Wayne, IN; 12 grandchildren, Nathan, Joel, Gretchen, Molly, Eric, Jill, Libby, Jacob, John, Madison, Mackenzie, and Noah; seven great-grandchildren, Collin, Paige, Morgan, Madeline, Archer, Ryker, and Hanna; and nieces & nephews.

In addition to his dear wife, Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Mary Eulalia (Thompson) Wright, his twin brother, Patrick Glenn, and sister Shirley Ann Chamberlain.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Sunday, September 30, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 West Walnut Street, in Leitchfield, with Reverend Randy Howard officiating.

Mr. Wright’s family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at Dermitt Funeral Home, 306 West Main Street in Leitchfield, KY.
