Mr. James L. Duggins, age 82, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, with his loving family by his side.

He was a retired truck driver from Kroger with over 28 years, member of Westport Road Baptist Church and was a fine Christian man whose smile lit up the world.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Carter Duggins; his parents, James L. Duggins, Sr. and Eunice Ferry Duggins; and a sister, Betty Birkhead.

Mr. Duggins is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Beverly Hunt Duggins; children, Glenn (Rita) and Beverly (Gary); two step-children, Gail (David) and Alan (Marcie); 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; sisters, Marion and Alvena; brother, Sherwood.

Funeral ceremony will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive , in Louisville, with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home is 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday until time of service.
