Moist towel, dry towel — either way it’s wet

Dear Editor:

Thank you for allowing us to voice our opinion about the upcoming vote on alcohol. We thought we wouldn"t say anything, but then remembered, that's exactly the way prayer was taken out of school. One (1) woman stated her opinion of prayer in school and the effect it would have on her family; the christians didn't voice their heart; well, the rest is history. There's a song that says, if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

Have you ever laid a wet, or moist, cloth on a dry towel? You do know what happens. The towel is soon wet, or moist, too. Think about it. Do you really want a wet county? What's that old saying,"One thing leads to another." Our song leaders' wife says, "Sin will take you farther than you wanted to go, keep you longer than you wanted to stay, and cost you more than you wanted to pay."

Some have been upset that Jesus was brought into the picture or on some signs. Sorry, but we thought Jesus was suppose to be in the center of everything. Then we make our decisions around Him. We wish we had always done that.

Now, I don't have any surveys for you to ponder on; just this question. Is Jesus in your heart? Citizens of Leitchfield, we beg of you, please vote your heart!

Sincerely,

Shannon and Diane Raymer, Sr.
