The Grayson County Middle School volleyball team will be taking part in a “blue-out” at Thursday evening’s game to honor the upcoming Colon Cancer Awareness month in March.

The event is part of “Volley for the Cure” according to coach Shane Decker, who also said that proceeds from the night’s concession sales will be donated to help with cancer research.

The game will be played against Hancock County Middle School’s team, and both teams are participating by wearing special blue shirts. The GCMS girls will be wearing navy blue, while Hancock County’s team will sport light blue shirts.

Those attending the game are also encouraged to participate and wear blue as well.

The game will be hosted at Grayson County Middle School’s gymnasium at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 28.
