Charles Winford Wilson, age 74, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Owensboro Medical Health System, in Owensboro, Kentucky.

He was born on May 10, 1938 in Anneta, the son of the late Claud and Delphia McGrew Wilson.

He was a retired mechanic for the City of Owensboro, presently a part time playground inspector for the City of Owensboro, who enjoyed knife trading, flea markets and fishing. He was a US Army veteran, a member and Past Master of the Stanley Masonic Lodge # 878, worthy patron of the Stanley Eastern Star # 253, the Madisonville Shriner Rizpah, a Kentucky Colonel, the AMVETS and a member of the New Harmony United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Daugherty Wilson; three daughters, Charlotte Gibson, of Caneyville, Lisa Wilson, of Bowling Green, and Teresa Wilson, of Russellville; two sons, Junior and Ricky Wilson, both of Leitchfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Charles Wilson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros Curtis McGee and Jo Jo Watson will be officiating. Burial will be in the McGrew Cemetery.

A Masonic and an Eastern Star service will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
