Joseph Luther Belcher, Sr, age 63 of Caneyville, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born June 11, 1947 in Elkhorn City, Ky.

Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Agatha L. Belcher (Spears); two daughters, Marie Suchowski (Mike) and Sheila D. Belcher, and two sons, Joseph L. Belcher, Jr and Orville Luther Belcher III; grandchildren Mikey, Philip, Timmy, Justin, Zachery, Jordan, Samantha, Nathan, Tabitha, Abigail, Sebastian, Brieanna, and Leland; brothers Howard and Andrew (Shirley) Belcher; sister Barbara Peters (Randy), and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orville L. Belcher, his mother Alma Gay Belcher, his mother-in-law Marie Von Spears, and his loving dog, Brownie.

His last request was to donate his liver for cancer research. Cremation was chosen and no service was held.
