Blessitt’s round was three strokes better than second-place Jonathan Gandia, from Louisville Ballard, but Ballard put its four scoring golfers in the top 15 to win the team championship with a score of 308.
South Warren was second at 318 and Central Hardin was third at 321. Grayson County finished seventh of the 18 teams competing with a score of 333.
The girls teams played only nine holes in their tournament and the Lady Cougars also finished seventh of 12 teams with a 198 total. Scott County finished first at 163 with Allen County second at 179.
Paige Higdon had the low score for the Lady Cougars, finishing in a tie for 10th at 45. Brooke Bratcher and Catey Logsdon both shot 48, and Brianne Schultz had a 57. Non-scoring rounds included: Kelsey Logsdon,64, Rachel Shelton, 67 and Courtney Vincent, 74.
Nolan White shot 81 for the boys, with Dylan Vaught at 83, and Mike Fisher shot 91. Non-scoring rounds included: Ty Clemons, 97, J. D. Majorts, 98, Evand Donald, 101, and Austin Hughes, 115.
