Eddie Franklin “Frankie” Morris, 65, of Leitchfield, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was born Dec. 10, 1944, in Hancock County, to James and Marie Pate Morris. He married Carolyn Sue Bowman on July 23, 1965. The couple lived in Cloverport for several years before moving to Hardinsburg. They moved to Leitchfield in 2006. Eddie retired in 2002 from Willamette Industries in Hawesville, where he worked as a millwright.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Rebecca Morris of Newburgh, Ind., and several brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.

His remains were cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date, per his wishes. Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors, Leitchfield, was in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice & Palliative Care of Central Kentucky.
