Music Across Nolin will continue its summer concert series Saturday, July 3rd, and the evening will end with a fireworks show.
Organizer Glenna Wood Black said the Friends of Nolin have come a long way in the past year.
“We have so much going on out in this community. It’s really exciting,” she said.
The event will take place at the Wax Picnic Shelter and Pavilion off Highway 88 near the Wax Marina.
The band Insulated, winner of Dan Power’s May Battle of the Bands contest will kick things off at 3:00 pm followed by United, Leitchfield’s Christian music band at 5:00 pm with the evening ending with another Leitchfield group, Jack Thomas Band at 7:00 pm. The music will range from Southern Rock to Contemporary Christian.
“The great thing about what we’re doing at Nolin Lake is that it’s free,” added Black. “Where else can you take your family where everything except for the food is free. And buying from our food vendors supports our local vendors.”
In addition to the food vendors from local businesses, there will be activities and games for children and adults. All are welcome to come by land or by boat.
“Bring your lawn chairs for a great day of food, music and more” encouraged Black.
