A 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix was pulled from the water on June 2 after the Grayson County Sheriff Rick Clemons along with Deputy Dave Colston investigated the report.
“Colston, who is a trained diver, located the automobile in the water about 70 feet off the shore of Nolin Lake,” said Clemons. “Once we had it on shore we discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen in early May.”
The Pontiac belonged to Darlene Lindsey, of Leitchfield, who had filed a report with the Leitchfield Police Department stating the vehicle was stolen from her home on Chestnut Street, May 3.
Leitchfield Police Detective Gary Troutman said the investigation is ongoing and charges may be forthcoming.
