The other thing I dislike about the article is that he wants people to vote “YO.” He wants you to vote YES for real economic development, but doesn’t give ANY details on what the CAA would like to see. At least the Citizens for Economic Development is pushing forth something, whether you agree with it or not.
The insurance premiums going up claim is completely ridiculous. First, accidents have to occur more often. Second, what proof does he have that accidents will rise because of this passages? Has it happened in other cities in KY? No! So stop making these claims.
He talked about how Leitchfield is too small for an Applebee’s. How then do the other cities of our size in KY have them? Look them up at www.applebees.com
Dave Martin only came into town a few years ago, so maybe he doesn’t fully understand our economic picture. In 2000, the City of Leitchfield had 3500 manufacturing jobs. Today I heard we only have 1400. That’s not the kind of growth I want for my grandkids. Just because YOU have a job, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t work for others to have one too.
I say give this Limited 100 vote chance by voting YES! The worst that could happen is that it doesn’t work out and we can go back to the way it was. Let’s give them a chance!
