One quick note on the alcohol in restaurants, and I will not say anymore.
I work seven days a week. I clean houses, yards, mow yards and work a part-time job. I have now decided to pick up cans. I can’t afford to drive, so I walk. In less than one-half a mile I picked up five bags of cans. About 90 percent of those cans were beer cans. That is not counting beer bottles that I saw. These did not come from a restaurant. So alcohol is here. So you cannot blame this on the vote coming up. It is here in Grayson County.
I am not promoting bars here, only good paying jobs. We have seen Elizabethtown and Bowling Green grow. Let Leitchfield grow.
I like my little town, but it has to try to keep up. We have so many who are unemployed, and many of those want to work. I am tired of working seven days a week. But I have to do what I have to, to survive. We need jobs with insurance. I needed a finger sewed up. Five stitches warranted a bill for $1,500. I will be dead before I can pay this.
Thank you,
Norma Hodges
