Police close down mobile meth lab

A suspicious vehicle complaint led to meth charges for three Grayson County residents on Wednesday, March 3.

“We responded to a call that had reported a suspicious vehicle sitting on the side of the road,” said Grayson County Sheriff Rick Clemons. “Deputy Robert Jackson and I investigated the vehicle and found an active meth lab inside the vehicle.”

The white 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix was sitting on the side of the road near Herb and Tina’s Place on Peonia Road in Clarkson.

Three individuals were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

Austin Doyle 31 of Clarkson was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication in addition to the meth charge.

Charles Cann, 27, of Clarkson and Carrie Vaughn, 39 of Leitchfield were also arrested.

“As we searched the car we found more chemicals used to manufacture meth in two separate bags,” said Clemons.

Doyle, Cann and Vaughn are currently held being at the Grayson County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.

“This investigation remains ongoing and more arrests are expected,” said Clemons.

Sheriff detective Terry Blanton cleaned up the meth lab and helped to clear the scene.
