Methamphetamine indictments continue to dominate the business of Grayson County Grand Juries.

With 15 of 18 of those indicted for methamphetamine charges the Grayson County Sheriff’ detective Terry Blanton shared his views on the war on meth.

“This is the worst drug our county has ever dealt with,” said Blanton. “We are in the middle of an epidemic and all our police forces are working together to battle this drug.

“But I do see a small light at the end of this tunnel and do feel we are making some headway with the problem.” he said. “There are some indicators that we are making a dent in the problem I just can not share with you at this time.”

Blanton added, “I do question if rehab is really working for these people because we see a lot of repeat offenders. I do think they let them out too quickly. This drug is so bad that they do not have enough time to detox. This drug is just bad.”
