Police are searching for two assailants involved with a break-in at a popular Leitchfield restaurant.

Leitchfield Police Detective Gary Troutman explained that two people were caught on surveillance tape stealing cash from Farmer's Feedmill Restaurant, at 110 Sequoia Drive, Leitchfield.

Officers Kevin Smith and Greg Whobrey visited the business on August 12 to investigate the complaint. They noticed the building had been broken into at two different times on the same date.

Troutman mentioned the tape showed one person dressed in black with a mask on, and another person also wearing a mask.

There were signs of forced entry for both break-ins. Troutman felt that both cases are related.

"We have good surveillance tape of the incident," he explained, "and are working on identifying the persons involved."

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact LPD by phone at 270-259-3850. Calls will remain anonymous.
