She was born January 13, 1947 in Butler Couny, Ky., the daughter of Jesse and Lula Belle Mudd Embry. She was a legal secretary, homemaker, a well loved Sunday School teacher, and a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Edwards; her son, Doug Edwards (Stacy) of Leitchfield; her daughter, Amy Hayes (Robbie) of Caneyville, Ky.; her grandchildren, Megan, Tyler and Tanner Edwards, Rylie and Wyatt Hayes; her sister, Lavone Phelps of Morgantown, Ky.; her brothers, Bill of Leitchfield, Bob of Hudson, FL, and Jody Embry of Caneyville.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Dermitt Funeral Home, in Leitchfield, with Bro. Doug Edwards officiating.
Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
