The Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputies shut down another methamphetamine lab in Grayson County Wednesday, April 28.
Sheriff Detective Terry Blanton was attempting to serve a warrant on a female at 293 Rock Ledge Road in Falls of Rough when he approached her home.
“As I pulled up I saw James Kerr on the front porch,” said Blanton. “When he saw me he immediately went into the trailer.”
Blanton reported that when he exited the vehicle he detected a strong chemical odor and on the porch of the mobile home was a bag of marijuana.
When Blanton entered the mobile home he discovered jars full of chemicals, soaking pseudo ephedrine pills and meth on the stove cooking as well as the finished meth product.
Blanton then arrested the occupant of the trailer, James Kerr, 39, Falls of Rough, who confessed the meth lab was his for personal use.
Kerr was arrested and charged with manufacturing meth first offense and possession of marijuana. More charges could be pending.
He is currently being held at the Grayson County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
