Eskel Burden, age 82 of Clarkson passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 26, 1930 in Short Creek, KY the son of Job & Nona Burden.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bell Nunn Burden of Clarkson, two sons, David Nunn (Teresa) of Leitchfield & Judd Pennington (Vonda) of Cecilia, three daughters, Mary Glenn (John) of Leitchfield, Pam Willis (Pat) of Clarkson, & Kay Hafford (Eric) of Leitchfield, and seven grandchildren, Timmy Nunn, Bradley Pennington, Josh Willis, Carissa Hafford, Taylor Glenn, Zachery Willis, & Colton Glenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Job & Nona Burden, one daughter, Crystal Gail Burden, one grandson, Robert Dale Pennington, six brothers, Kenneth, Willie, Tommy, Woody, Jesse, & Hardin Burden, and five sisters, Pauline Hazelwood, Annie Lee, Geneva Brown, Aileen England, & Elsie Hayes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday (March 20, 2013) at the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church in Leitchfield with Bro. Charles Larry Bell officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to help with the funeral expenses.
