Darrell W. McGrew, age 54, of Mammoth Cave, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013, at his home.

He was born on January 15, 1959 in Louisville, the son of the Junior McGrew and the late Zelma Blessitt McGrew. He was a construction worker, who enjoyed tinkering with his cars.

He is survived by his wife, MaDonna Long McGrew; five daughters, Heather McGrew, of Clarkson, Gail Basham, of Leitchfield, Shawn Farrow, of Mammoth Cave, Jennifer Montgomery, of Leitchfield, and Amber Decker, of Oakland KY; one son, Bryon Decker, of Mammoth Cave; his father and step-mother, Junior and Barbara McGrew, of Clarkson; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; seven brothers, Alex and Tommy Spalding, and Junior McGrew, all of Bardstown, Bobby Spalding, of Tennessee, Timothy Dewayne McGrew, of Louisville, Roger McGrew, of Somerset, and William Smallwood, of Crawford County, IN; six sisters, Vickie Logsdon and Elaine Lashley, both of Clarkson, Darlene Offutt, of Hopkinsville, Joyce Simon, of Boston MA, Net Carr, of Louisville, and Norma Jean McGrew, of Bardstown.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Dermitt Funeral Home, in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the McGrew Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
