After a pep session Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., the team was paraded through the county passing by elementary schools enroute to Lexington’s Rupp Arena to prepare for their first round game at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
High school Principal Doug Robinson played on the’93 team and said the community is so very important to the team.
“We’ve gotten a lot of calls of support from people in the community,” he explained. “This is something that has brought people together and has created a great atmosphere all week.”
He wants people to know that if the Cougars win Wednesday, tickents will be available immediately after the game, but only at Rupp Arena. No tickets will be available locally for the Friday game.
