Southern rock group 'Sixth Floor' is scheduled to make an appearance on March 21 at the Centre on Main in Leitchfield.

Also performing on Saturday will be Atomic Pimphand, Southbound, and Klayton Felty.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., but the concert will not start until 8 p.m.

Southbound will open up for the night, Atomic Pimphand will play second, Grayson County local Klayton Felty will perform a drum solo, and Sixth Floor will play last.

Sixth Floor (playing together for 14 years) is most notable for performing with bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, Blackstone Cherry, Disturbed, and Kentucky Headhunters.

They have played at venues in New York, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Philadelphia, and West Virginia.

Sixth Floor Drummer George Collard explained why the band decided to play somewhere closer to home this time.

"It is a good thing for the kids to come and see us and have fun," said Collard. "They get to see something they don't normally get to see. Our environment at concerts is very kid-friendly."

Each of the band members have other full-time jobs to support their passion.

"We love what we do," said Collard. "People really seem to enjoy our music. As long as they keep liking it we will keep doing it."
