Edith Logsdon Smith, age 81 of Clarkson, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 5, 1951, in Grayson County, the daughter of Dillard and Elsie Alvey Logsdon.
She is survived by her loving husband, Oscar Thomas Smith, of Clarkson; her children, Melissa and Elvis Thomas Smith, both of Clarkson; three brothers, Billy and Clay Logsdon, both of Caneyville, and Jimmy Logsdon, of Clarkson; a very special niece, Savannah Smith; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Deward, and Steve Logsdon, and four sisters, Bernice Webb, Ronella Warf, Betty Smith, and Shirley Logsdon.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. Wilford Logsdon officiating. Burial was in the Peonia Christian Church Cemetery.
