Marilyn Gray Barnes, age 68, of Leitchfield, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her residence in Leitchfield.

She was born on August 20, 1944 in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late Homer and Etta Lindsey Chambers.

She was a retired cook from different restaurants in the area. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, flowers, and fishing and camping with her husband, Danny. She was a member of the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Danny, of Leitchfield; two sons, Kenny Williams (Rhonda), of Clarkson, and Jarrod Williams, of Leitchfield; two daughters, Rosella Decker, of Leitchfield, and Melissa Hawks (Dale), of Edmonson County; one step-daughter, Beth Whitworth (Lonnie), of Leitchfield; nine grandchildren, Billie Joe Probus, Jr., Tenia Decker, Celena Williams, Bradley Williams, Brandon Hawks, Amanda Hill, Jarrod Austin Williams, and MaKenna Whitworth; eight great-grandchildren, Bryce Woosley, Kailey Jo Probus, Gavin Probus, Dylan Meredith, Brooklyn Strausburger, Matthew Phillips, Jayden Williams, and Hayle Hill; two brothers, Allan and Charles Chambers; seven sisters, Linda Williams, Syble Small, Faye Pierce, Cathy Moutadier, Rita Meredith, Ann Hack, and Joyce Decker.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie, Harvey, and Michael Chambers.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Joe Williams will be officiating. Burial will be in the Elizabethtown Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1-8p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. Friday until time of services.
