Gary Higdon, age 59, of Leitchfield, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012.

He was born on August 4, 1953 in Grayson County, the son of the late Wilbert and Geneva Hill Higdon.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards.

He is survived by two daughters, Angela and her husband Randy Bradley, and Veronica and her husband David Masden, both of Leitchfield; seven grandchildren, David (Bethany) Masden, Brittany Masden, Kaylee Masden, Colton (Jamie) Oller, Amber Oller, and Shana and Garrett Bradley; four great-grandchildren, Alison, Jaren and Jamie Masden, and Hunter Oller; a brother, Donnie Higdon, of Clarkson; six sisters, Sue Harp, Darlene Kerr and Ellen Schrader, all of Leitchfield, Lynn Carroll and Rhonda Williams, both of Clarkson, and Christy Anderson, of Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and Dennis Wayne Higdon, and a nephew, Jeffrey Anderson .

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
