Karen Lea Gibson Johnson, age 56 of Clarkson passed away Thursday, September 20th 2012 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 4, 1956, in Grayson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Watsie and Euell Gibson. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. She was a member of the Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church in Clarkson, Kentucky.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Christy Williams (Shaun), and her two grandchildren, Aislynn and Jerrick, all of Leitchfield; her fiancé, Jason Wilkerson, of Clarkson; her mother, Watsie Gibson, of Clarkson; two brothers, Pat Gibson (Darlene), of Fordsville, and Donnie Gibson (Sharon), of Bowling Green; two sisters, Wanda Walters (Wren), of Carlisle, PA, and Sandy Golden (Don), of Boston, MA, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Johnson, and her father, Euell Gibson.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 24, 2012, at the Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church in Clarkson with Bro. Terry Priddy officiating. Burial was in the Little Flock Cemetery.
