Rita Lois Cripps, age 76, of Big Clifty, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at her residence.

She was born August 5, 1936 in Louisville, the daughter of the late Thomas and Estell Spalding Kierran. She was the wife of Sherman Paul Cripps, Jr.

Rita was retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co., and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

She leaves behind her husband; a son, Doug Cripps; two daughters, Loretta (Kenny) Pennington and Tammy (Glen) Stillings; three grandsons, Ronnie (Penny) Noble, Toby Cripps and Travis Noble; one granddaughter, Amanda Cripps and eight great-grandchildren, Cierra, Camryn, Jothyn, Angelica, Gage, Taylor, Trenton and Leah.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Steve Hohman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rogers-Oller Funeral Home, in Clarkson, and on Monday after 8 a.m. until the time of service at the church

Prayer services will be at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
