To the Editor:
First, I’d like to say the Fiddler Championship was great. To the people who made it happen, thank you. Hopefully it will carry over the next year to come.
I’d like to thanks to the mayor and whoever helped to bring new jobs to Leitchfield. We definitely need it. Hopefully the pay and benefits will also be good, because a lot of people are below the poverty level. Making $13.25 per hour seven years ago, I seem to be going backwards. It is hard for people on minimum wage and fixed income to make it to0.
And I also would like to add that Mitt Romney must have something to hide, putting money in other offshore accounts. And the money these people — including President Barack Obama — have, look how many people this money could help. While I am for Obama, I also do not like change. But it would be nice to know how much it will cost. My daughter has no insurance, and she was turned down for Social Security. … Everyone deserves insurance, and deserves to be able to work and bring home a good check, with a decent wage.
Thank you,
Norma R. Hodge
