J. L. Lucas, age 71 of Harned, KY died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on November 4, 1940. He retired from Swope Motors as a mechanic, was a farmer and enjoyed riding horses and being with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Lucas.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Ramsey Lucas , of Harned; one son, Keith Lucas of Custer, KY; his mother, Mildred Sebastian, of Hudson, KY; one brother , Damon Lucas of Louisville; two sisters , Leona Cundiff, of Louisville, and Bonnie Swift, of Caneyville.
Funeral services were held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at with burial in the Madrid Cemetery.
