Ruth Carroll Decker, age 80, of Leitchfield, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center, in Leitchfield.

She was born on May 2, 1932, in Grayson County, the daughter of the late William Garrett and Felia Hayes Carroll. She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal Faith.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Lovoid Decker (Janie), Lambert Carroll Decker (Margie) and Gilbert Lee Decker, all of Leitchfield; four grandchildren, Shawn Decker, of Calhoun, KY, and Jody, Brittany and Elijah Decker, all of Leitchfield; one step-grandson, Jamie Meredith; six great-grandchildren, Kerstyn, Kaleb and Zane Decker, Haley and Ashlee Carlock, and Lincoln Collier; two step-great-grandchildren, Ashley and Sydney Rice, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Jackie Kiper.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elza Lovoid Decker, two brothers, Wilbur and Woody Carroll, two sisters, Wilma Jo Woosley and Winnie Mae McStoots, and seven half-brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, with Bro. Billy Hack officiating. Burial was in the Sanders Cemetery.
