Alice “Granny” Beagle was born September 1st, 1927 in Bolivar, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Beagle, four brothers, three sisters, and her parents.

Alice was a member of VFW Post 84 in Leitchfield.

“Momma loved to dance, I guess now she’s dancing with Jesus.”

She is survived by her brother, Forest “Bill” McClelland, of Bolivar, PA; four daughters, June Ashby (Earl), and Charlene Ashby (Richard), both of Caneyville, Eleanor Riggs, of Millwood, and Leslie Conn (Terry), of Bardstown; 16 grandchildren, Junie Stewart (Jason), of Beaver Dam, Leslie Ashby, of Leitchfield, Amanda Decker (Jerry), of Anneta, Kellie Ashby, of Caneyville, Janet Lindsey (Dustin), of Millwood, Tamatha Miller (James), of Horse Branch, Julie Hardin (Michael), of Millwood, Howard Riggs, of Spring Lick, Ricky Ashby (Ashley), of Caneyville, T.C. Ashby, of Caneyville, Kevin Ashby (Savannah), of Rosine, Kimberly Ashby (David), of Caneyville, June Meredith, of Caneyville, Adrianne Patenaude, of Leitchfield, Chester Ashby (Ashley), of Beaver Dam, and Brad Ashby (Brianna), of Hartford; 27 great-grandchildren and her special friend Zonie “Doll” Riggs of Caneyville.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 9th at 11 a.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home. Bro. Roy Dockery will be officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Harmony Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville after 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
