Joseph Wesley Thompson, age 60, of Leitchfield, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at the Norton Hospital, in Louisville, Kentucky

He was born on March 2, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of the late Harley Dupin and Leaette (Bryson) Thompson.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Angela Newton, Miranda Key and Jennifer Thompson all of Louisville, one son, Joseph West, also of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Leaette Lally (David) of Austin, IN, Mary Blair of Vine Grove, KY and Maria Thompson of Fern Creek, KY; one brother, Matt Thompson (Jennifer) of Mount Washington, KY, a special friend Lorma Vittitoe and many nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-father, Wayne Thompson, and a brother, Mark Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. held Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 pm. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.
