Cougar baseball draws Apollo; softball draw Ohio County

The draw for the pairing in the 3rd Region tournaments for both baseball and softball took place in Owensboro Saturday morning.

The Cougar baseball team, winners of the 12th District, drew the Apollo Eagles in the first round. They will play at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28 on Ownesboro High School’s field.

Should the Cougars get by Apollo, they would play the winner of the game between Meade County and Ohio County at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, with the championship game Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The Cougar softball team, also winners of the 12th District, will face off against the Ohio County Lady Eagles Monday morning at 10 a.m. at Daviess County High School.

If they win their first game, the Cougars would play at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday against the winner of the game between Meade County and Apollo. The championship game will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
