Emergency personnel responded to a tractor rollover on Saturday afternoon in Clarkson that killed one man.
According to a press release from Grayson County Coroner Joe Brad Hudson, 51-year-old Kenton D. Seely, of Bloomfield Road in Bloomfield, was trapped beneath the tractor with attached bush hog when first responders from Clarkson Fire Department and Grayson County EMS were dispatched to the scene.
The accident occurred just off of Wheelers Mill Road, on a private gravel road. It appeared, according to Hudson, that Seely was travelling up the road on the tractor and possibly bush hogging the edge, when the soft shoulder of the gravel road gave way, causing the tractor to overturn.
Seely’s daughter, Loren Seely, was travelling on an ATV in front of her father when she heard the accident and went back to check on him.
Loren Seely sought help at a neighboring residence and called 911, at which point EMS summoned the closest medical helicopter to the scene.
When members of the Clarkson FD arrived at the scene of the accident, the helicopter was cancelled and the coroner was summoned. Hudson pronounced Seely dead at the scene, with traumatic asphyxia listed as the cause of death.
