James Norman Clemons, 74, of Louisville, passed away April 30, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.
Norman was born in Wax, Ky., son of the late Courtland and Leta Clemons. Hewas retired from Stauffer Chemical Co. and Rohm and Haas. Mr. Clemons was a loving husband and devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Russell L. Clemons.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Ann Skaggs Clemons; one brother, Charles Clemons; a son, James Brian Clemons (Brenda); two daughters, Carleta Sanders (Joe), and Janice Gelley (Ken); eight grandchildren, Shawn Clemons (Angela), Michael Sanders (Stacey), Joey Sanders (Kim), Doug Gelley (Cheryl), Sara Gelley, Chelsea Gelley, Meghan Probus and William Isgrigg (Amber); and six great-grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 pm CST on Friday, May 4 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 6874 Wax Rd. (Hwy 479), Wax, KY with burial to follow in Wax Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 pm on Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. and from 11 am – 1 pm CST on Friday at St. Benedict.
