Marvin Howard Galloway, age 79 of Westview, KY died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on April 8, 1933, the son of the late Albert and Mary Critchelow Galloway. He was a farmer who enjoyed fishing, square dancing and crafts. Marvin was a Kentucky Colonel and attended Emmanuel Fellowship and Cave Spring United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Edith Galloway August 18, 2001.

He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Shelia Galloway, of Westview, Ky, Wayne and Denise Galloway, of McDaniels, KY, Thomas and Michele Galloway, of Westview, KY, and Milt and Charlotte Galloway, of Westview, KY; one brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Nadine Galloway, of Westview, KY; eight grandchildren, Steven, Joey, Rebecca, Chris and Mason Galloway, Angelia Terry, Brandy Young and Kristy Skaggs; eight great-grandchildren, Marvin, Joey, Toby, Libbee, Laura and Marie Galloway, Blake Young and Claire Skaggs

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Emmanuel Fellowship Church with Bro. Scott Bratcher and Bro. Bryant Stevenson officiating under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
