Mary Jo Belcher, age 76, of Leitchfield, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center, in Leitchfield.

She was born on December 29, 1935, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William Newton and Mildred Robinson Foley. She was a housewife and homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, quilting and taking care of her family. She was a member of the Potters Hope Church.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mayburn Belcher; three sons, Bruce (Rosemary), of South KY, Benny (Marietta), of Lexington, KY and Blain Belcher, of Leitchfield; one brother, Floyd Foley, of Greenville KY; five grandchildren, Billy Joe, Stuart, Brianna and Lydia Belcher and Brittany Deatherage; two great-grandchildren, Lincoln Deatherage and Savannah Belcher.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Kipling.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, with Bro. Wayne Clemons officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery, in Logan County, KY.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2-9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
