Sister Helen Ann Stuart, 89, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Mount Saint Joseph, in her 63rd year of religious life.

Born in St. Raphael, in Daviess County, she was an educator for 34 years. She taught at St. Joseph School, in Leitchfield, 1962-66. She also taught elsewhere in Kentucky, and served as the switchboard operator for the Ursuline Motherhouse (1985-2002).

Survivors include a sister, Martine Greenwell, of Albuquerque, N.M., her sister-in-law, Agnes Stuart, of Owensboro, nieces, nephews, cousins and the members of her religious community.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Mount Saint Joseph, where visitation will begin Wednesday at 4 p.m., with a wake service following at 6:30 p.m.
