Jams E. Carnes, age 95, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Paoli Helath & Living Community.

Mr. Carnes was retired as a security guard with Carpenter Body Works, formerly of Mitchell. IN. He was also a member of the Marion Township Fire Dept.

He is survived by one daughter, Rosemarie Hammons, of Paoli, Indiana; a son, James F. Carnes, of Louisville and a sister, Hettie Montgomery, also of Louisville. Other survivors include five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceeding him in death were his parents Joseph and Annie Huffman Carnes; his first wife, Sara Jane Shanks Carnes, and his second wife, Eva Cox Carnes. Others include a grandson, James Carnes; two brothers, Travis and Jesse Carnes, and four sisters, Mary, Rachel, Maglan & Marie.

Visitation Friday. April 13, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at McAdams Mortuary, Paoli, Indiana

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at noon. There will be a graveside service conducted by Bro. Harvey McAdams at St. Anthony Cemetery, Peonia. Interment in the St. Anthony Cemetery, in Peonia
