Owen Logsdon, age 81 of Louisville, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Norton Audubon Hospital.

He was born April 13, 1930 in Grayson County, the son of Bill nd Elizabeth Powell-Logsdon. He was a retired supervisor for the Chevron Oil Co., a member of the Penile Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Shawnee Masonic Lodge, the Order of Amaranth where he served two terms as the Grand Royal Patron in 1991 and 2009, and he was the past master of the George Washington Mason Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Nell Logsdon of Louisville; two sons, Douglas Owen Logsdon, of Eastview, and Michael Logsdon of Louisville; one brother, Albert Logsdon (Virginia), of Broadford; two grandchildren, Sarah Logsdon Teeters (Jaymes), and Christopher Logsdon, and two great-grandchildren, Stella Katherine and Addington Marie Teeters.

He was preceded in death by seven siblings, Shelby, Ted, Dillard, Earl, Irene, Leslie Logsdon, and Ruby Webb.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
