A minor child was removed from a home on Seth Drive in Leitchfield, after police found a methamphetamine lab on the property around 2 p.m. August 27.

According to a report by Grayson County Sheriff Detective Terry Blanton, he was investigating a report of a possible meth lab at 410 Seth Drive.

Blanton had received the tip after he apprehended Jonathan Strausbuger, who the police had been looking for after a bench warrant had been issued when he failed to appear in court.

Strasbuger was previously arrested for receiving stolen property, reported Blanton.

An unidentified female had been with Strausburger and a search of the vehicle they were in led Blanton to the address on Seth Drive.

Material and equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine were found and Charles David Carlock, Jr., 27, of 410 Seth Drive and Patrick Grimes, 36, of 560 Washburn Road were both arrested.

A four-year-old female child was removed from the residence and placed in the care of a relative. Child Protective Services was later notified.

The equipment to make anhydrous ammonia was also found in a green Honda at the scene, reported Blanton. He also said there was finished product inside the residence on Seth Drive.

Carlock was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine with more charges pending.

Grimes was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Greater Hardin County Drug Task Force was called in to assist with the removal of the lab.

Strausburg remains lodged at the Grayson County Detention Center on a $5000 bond and Carlock is being held on a $25,000 cash bond. Grimes was released August 28 on a $1000 surety bond.
