A semi overturned around 11 a.m. on Friday blocking traffic on Lilac Road for about one hour.
“I was coming around the corner and suddenly there was this truck in my lane,” said truck driver Jeremy Bible. “ I swerved to miss him and hit the gravel. Then I lost control.”
The driver, who was traveling north on Lilac Road, was making a deliver for the Sears Store in Louisville.
The hazards waste team was dispatched from the Leitchfield Fire Department because it was reported that oil was leaking from the truck but according to First Chief Tim Duvall, “There was not enough oil leakage for us to do anything.”
Bible and his passenger Gilbert Mac, both from Louisville, reported to be uninjured.
The Semi was owned by Enterprise Rental and was leased by the Sears Corporation.
