Dear Editor,
The financial-services firm Edward Jones has announced the opening of its 10,000th branch office worldwide.
Edward Jones has maintained consistent growth over the last 35 years and continues to focus on a business model that is built upon the relationship between financial advisors and clients.
The 10,000th branch is in Southington, Conn.
In celebration of the milestone, Edward Jones also announced a $25,000 donation to the town of Southington Rails-to-Trails initiative, which converts old railroad lines into trails that can be used by the public for recreation.
When completed, the 25-mile trail will stretch from New Haven to North Hampton, Mass. and will include an Edward Jones trailhead with benches, trash receptacles, bicycle racks and a donation plaque.
The donation was in tribute to the memory of Ted Jones, son of the firm’s founder.
One of Ted Jones’ favorite causes was Rails-to-Trails projects.
The 10,000th office is not our final destination but it is a symbol of our commitment to continue growing and bringing the Edward Jones brand of service to an ever-increasing population of individual investors.
Sincerely,
Steven Elder
Edward Jones
