The Alliance of Community Hospices & Palliative Care Services, Inc. recently changed its corporate name to Hosparus.
Hosparus means we guide our guests. The idea of a name change came about because the Alliance name was long and could be confusing to people who do not fully understanding palliative care.
The new name is much easier to understand and represents more of what the organization does.
The organization still delivers care through Hospice of Louisville, Southern Indiana and Central Kentucky.
Hosparus cares for patients and their families regardless of their ability to pay.
Hosparus is not only providing care for the patient, but its staff and volunteers also help the family to deal with the end-of-life events.
To distinguish its unique type of care within the region, Hosparus established a name that stood for the mission and beliefs of the organization.
They have been able to capture that statement with the name Hosparus.
You have probably noticed the advertising letting the community know about the name change.
Hosparus wants the community to realize that although it has taken on a new name and logo, the organization will still continue to help families and patients throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana as it has for the past 30 years.
