Two accidents on Anetta Road in as many days kept members of the Grayson County Sheriff's Department on their toes.

According to a sheriff's department report, Daniel Ford, 27, of McDaniels, stated he was driving north on HWY 259 around 5:45 p.m on Sunday evening when he fell asleep.

When he woke up Ford said he saw that he was across the center line and heading straight toward a 2003 Chevy S-10 driven by David McGrew, 26, of Bowling Green.

McGrew swerved to the right to avoid a head-on collision with the 2006 Ford F150 driven by Ford. The S-10 ran off the right side of the road and overturned, coming to rest on the driver's side of the vehicle.

Ford was able to avoid an impact and there was no contact made between the two vehicles.

Both McGrew and the passenger in the S-10, Kristin Hennion, 23, were not wearing seat belts and were transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by Grayson County Emergency Medical Services with non-life threatening injuries, reported Deputy Bryan Hammons.

Ford was given a field sobriety test by Leitchfield Police Department Officer Braxton Allen. The driver did pass all the tests, but the test showed a small trace of alcohol in his system, reported Hammons.

In a separate accident on Monday afternoon a second vehicle overturned less than a mile from where the accident had occured the day before.

Wesley Jaggers, 26, of Poteet Road, Mammoth Cave, was traveling north on Anneta Road left the roadway on the right side of the road. The red 2000 Ford Mustang overturned and slid on its top, coming to a rest against a utility pole several feet from the highway, reported Chief Deputy Tony Willen.

Jaggers was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The report indicated he was wearing a seat belt.
