Leitchfield police have charged two males in connection with breaking and entering an office at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

LPD Detective Gary Troutman said the office of orthopedic surgeon Casey R. Starsiak was broken into on January 22 at around 9 p.m.

Troutman explained Robert D. McStoots, 24, of Leitchfield, was arrested on January 24. Robert L. Grant, 29, of Leitchfield, was also arrested on January 26 for involvement with the same break-in. Both men are being charged with burglary third degree.

Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center CEO Stephen Meredith said, “One of environmental services employees had noticed two young males leaving that office. Since it was late in the evening she was suspicious and called local authorities.”

McStoots is currently out of jail on a $2,500 surety bond, and is to appear in court on January 31 at 9 a.m.

Grant, who was on parole at the time the offense was committed, is being held in the Grayson County Detention Center. He is also scheduled to appear before the court on January 31 with McStoots.

The Probation and Parole Office's Assistant Supervisor, Trent VanMeter, said, “Any action by the probation and parole office is still forthcoming.”

The Grayson County Sheriff's Department and The Greater Hardin County Drug Task Force also assisted with the arrests.
