With time running out the Salvation Army is asking for community's help with the 36 names that are still left on the Angel Tree at Wal-Mart.
Over 560 school-age chldren will find Christmas morning just a little brighter because of the generousity of the citizens of Grayson County.
Each year the Salvation Army collects names of needy children and adds the names to the Angel Tree and turns to the community to help the youngesters out.
After receiving the list of names from area teachers anad Family Resource Directors the Salvation Army puts the list together and places names on the Angel Tree located at Wal-Mart.
Anything from clothing, to toys, to school suplies can be given to the young children.
The names are selected from the Tree and generous people then purchase a gift for each needy child. The gift is left at Wal-Mart and picked up a member of the Salvation Army.
On December 13 between 5 - 7 p.m. the gifts are picked up by the parents and placed under a tree for the children to be opened up on Christmas Morning.
Anyone who does not have time to shop but wishes to help can contact Tracy Dennison at (270) 259-0043.
